Content Areas

Content areas are elements you can pick and choose to lay out your content. They are everything and anything that sits between the header and the footer of a site and they're highly customizable so that you can achieve the exact look you need for any page. Two Column, Text

Requirements: The number of lines in both columns should be roughly equal

Requirements: Keep titles to 15 characters. Do not use more than four tabs in one box.

Blockquote

Requirements: Use quotes that are impactful and to the point. Long, rambling quotes only take up space.

Requirements: Image (6:5 aspect ratio). Keep titles as short as possible. Limit body text to 60 words.

Requirements: Keep titles as short as possible. Limit body text to ~40 words.

Contact Us

News

A feed that pulls from the FIU news site of your choosing. Display varies based on home or tier page.

Homepage

Tier Page (News with no Thumbnail)

Faculty Box

Feed that pulls from a faculty directory.

Optional field: Add faculty members individually or by category (e.g. departments, offices)

Intro

A default field which displays on certain pages. Display varies based on home or tier page.

Homepage

Main text area on all homepages. The Heading is the title of the page.

Tier Page

Only appears for pages with a side navigation. This area should not be left blank. This is a good place for some expository language, helping the user understand the content on the page.

Marketing

A 3 column row for marketing that is used on the homepage. Two options are available - row with images and a row with text only.

Requirements: Images (3 x 2 aspect ratio). Keep titles as short as possible. Limit body text to 10-30 characters.

Progress Bar

The progress bar is useful for tracking the progress of an event or marketing campaign such as a fundraiser. It can be displayed as a line or as a circle and with a blue or white background.
